Who we are

ElderTech is a student-run nonprofit based in Southlake, Texas. This policy covers the website at eldertech.net.

What we collect

  • What you send us. When you use the contact form, we receive your name, email address, the reason you're writing, your message, and, if you add them, your organization or school and your city and state.
  • Basic technical information. Like most websites, our hosting provider handles technical details such as your IP address and browser type so it can deliver pages and protect the site from abuse.
  • Your text-size setting. If you use the "Larger text" button, your choice is saved in your own browser so the next page remembers it. It is never sent to us.

We don't use advertising cookies or tracking tools, and we don't run analytics on this site.

How we use it

We use what you send us only to reply to you and to arrange things you ask about, such as a visit, volunteering, or starting a chapter. We don't sell, rent, or trade your information.

Services we rely on

  • Cloudflare hosts this website.
  • Google Fonts supplies the site's fonts. Your browser loads them from Google, which receives your IP address when it does.
  • A form-delivery service passes contact form messages to our email.

These providers handle information under their own privacy policies. We only share information with them as needed to run the site, or if the law requires it.

Links to other sites, such as LinkedIn profiles or news articles, are covered by those sites' own policies.

Children

This site is meant for adults and for students old enough to volunteer. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you think a child under 13 has sent us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

How long we keep it

We keep messages as long as we need them to respond and to keep track of visits, partners, and volunteers. Ask us and we'll delete yours.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct, or delete the information you've sent us. Use the contact page and we'll take care of it.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
